Family Intervention Specialists, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation registered in the State of Georgia. We provide CORE Services to Children and Adolescents as well as CORE services to Adults. We have clinicians in 20 counties in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. We are also a provider of intensive Family Intervention. Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) is an intensive family- and community-based treatment that addresses multiple determinants of serious antisocial behavior in juvenile offenders. The approach of the intensive family intervention views individuals as being nested within a complex network of interconnected systems that encompass individual, family, peers, school, neighborhood, and indigenous support network. To facilitate change, intervention may be necessary in any one or a combination of these systems.

In our pursuit of excellence in the field of mental health, we were the first organization to be certified in Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) in Georgia providing services to the Juvenile Court of Fulton and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. We are the only organization certified in Brief Strategic Family Therapy in Georgia and have received nation recognition as the only “Best Practice” in the Southeast by the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice.

Family Intervention Specialists, Inc .has been certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) receiving an Exemplary rating for Life Skills Program.

We are the provider of choice for individuals, couples, and families in the Metropolitan Atlanta Area with over 80 clinicians in the field we are accusable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. . creating long term and lasting change in individuals and families with a focus on family empowerment and resiliency..

The agency is directed by Dr. David F. Anthony who has over 30 years of experience in working with children, adolescents and families. As the preferred provider in many counties, we continue to the model for the delivery of intensive in-home interventions. Our team is made up of clinicians, paraprofessionals, and administrators from diverse backgrounds to accommodate the diversity of the families that we serve. With a combined knowledge base of over 350 years of experience we process a wealth experience that is able to address any issues our clients might have. We always work and outcomes support our goal to maintain the highest standard of service by constantly improving treatment provisions and enlisting the very best treatment professionals.
