Family Intervention
Specialists, Inc. comprehensive Corporate
Compliance Program's purpose is to assist
FIS, Inc. in maintaining compliance with the
laws, regulations and company directives and
guidance that apply to the provision of
mental health services, to train our
employees and inform our contractors on
these matters and to prevent, detect, and
correct instances of non-compliance and
fraud.
Elements of Corporate Compliance
Program:
1. Corporate Compliance Officer - Oversees
the compliance with Federal, State and Local
laws, in regard to All employment practices,
financial accountability, human resource
policies and procedures, governance,
physical safety and staff development.
2. Standing Committees - The agency has a
number of standing committees that meet on
regularly to review Client Rights, Ethics,
Programming, Clinical Correctness, Facility
Safety Standards
3. Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) - The
agency is required to be certified by the
Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), every
three years, which includes yearly reports
for review.
4. Annual Certified Financial Audits - The
agency is required to have a certified
financial audit every year with copies Sent
to the Department of Human Resources
5. APS Healthcare Audits - The agency is
audited for compliance of all State and
Federal regulations regarding Medicaid and
delivery of services.
6. Quarterly oversight by
the Executive Committee of the Board of
Directors
